海鮮処寿し常 ビーンズ赤羽店
At Sushitsune, sushi is shaped by the chef right in front of you, and you can choose a set or order individual pieces. The menu includes weekday-only sushi lunches, nigiri sets featuring hon-maguro (bluefin tuna), and a range of pieces to choose from.
〒115-0045 Tokyo, Kita City, Akabane, 1 Chome−1−1 ビーンズ01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Choose a set or pick your favourite toppings one piece at a time: at Sushitsune, you can enjoy sushi at your own pace. Diners who have watched the sushi being made in front of them have remarked on the generous size of the toppings and the rice, which falls apart gently in the mouth. Taking a seat at the counter and watching the chef at work is part of the experience.
For a selection centred on tuna, options include a hon-maguro nigiri set of 3 pieces with otoro, chutoro and akami, and a 5-piece set that also includes otoro, seared toro and a toro-taku hand roll. You can also add individual pieces, such as seared salmon, seared engawa (flounder fin) and a whole simmered conger eel. One diner says they keep coming back for the seared engawa, making individual pieces a good way to try something that catches your eye.
Lunch options include weekday-only nigiri, bara chirashi and the regular nigiri set. One diner who tried the bara chirashi also praised the miso soup, making the set an option for a weekday lunch. To linger over the meal, pair sashimi or small plates with sake. The drinks menu includes Hokusetu from Sado, Niigata, which can be served chilled or warm, and Jōkigen from Yamagata, described as a good match for food.
